I swapped my Athlon X2 250 for a Phenom II X2 550 and sold my Emaxx 780g Pro+ last friday to give way for an SB710 upgrade. Got my ASRock A780GM-LE/128M mobo the following day since I ran out of time to drive back to PC Reform in Makati. +1 for that shop since they were really accommodating and for the discounts they give to TipidPC members. Too bad I didnt have extra money for some anodized thumb screws, but nevertheless, this item was more than enough to put a big grin on my face the moment I booted to Windows and ran CPU-Z when I switched ACC (Advanced Clock Calibration) to auto. Voila! A Phenom II quad-core baby! It’s still on the verge of being stable though. I locked the cpu voltage to 1.4V and now I am currently increasing the northbridge voltage one notch at a time to provide the least heat for stability.

For some reason CPU-z rejects my validation. Maybe it has something to do with the unlocked cores. I don’t really know. It also reads AM3 as 938 pins while it should be 939. Same for the southbridge that should be 710.

Also bought a computer table from Office Warehouse the same day. I shall post the photos as soon as it gets delivered. One last major upgrade and I guess it’s over. AOC e2236Vw please! =)
